I completely disagree. However, I respect your opinion and suggest that you read more about this stereotype on this blog to perhaps change your mind on the subject. Your rationale is the main reason why abolishing this stereotype and raising awareness about it is so important.

I agree. I think it is unfair that women can participate in male-dominant activities and not be stereotyped but when men participate in female-dominant activities they are. This is one of the main reasons why the stereotype must be stopped as much as possible.

Anonymous said: I don't think that men are homosexuals if they do ballet. Men have the same abilities that women have.

I agree! Thank you for your opinion.

Anonymous said: Do think that this stereotype is the reason there are so few male ballet dancers?

Perhaps it is. Only 37.5% of professional ballet dancers are men. This could be because ballet generally attracts more female dancers, but the fear of being stereotyped and discriminated against might also be part of the reason.

Anonymous said: why are you trying to abolish this stereotype when there are still a lot of gay male dancers?

because although there are some homosexual male ballerinas, the majority are not gay. many are wrongly accused, made fun of, and discriminated against, and that is what we are trying to stop.
